Located in Santa Fe, the Torres Gallery is the official gallery web site for Robert Rivera gourd art in his home state of New Mexico. World renowned for his gourd pots, masks, lamps, jewelry and figures, Robert's work combines native American Pueblo Indian iconography with Spanish and other Southwestern influences to create a unique and stunning artistic sensibility. His work encompasses chanter and warrior figures, butterfly and water tmaidens, ornaments and of course, gourd pots of many varieties, from ollas to bowls and more. Robert's warrior, chanter and singer figures are embellished with beads, feathers and leather, and can be made into lamps for beautiful Southwestern home decor. His sun and singer gourd masks are stunning examples of New Mexico wall art, embellished with feathers, beads and cut outs. Most recently, Robert has added jewelry to his repertoire, with Mimbres Turtle pendants of silver, brass and pottery shards. He will be developing more jewelry designs in the near future. Enjoy all these gourd art forms which are pictured here, and throughout his official website.
